The Autonomous Drone Challenge (ADC), part of INSIGNIA 2025 at SDMCET, is a two-day event designed to push the boundaries of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) technology and autonomous flight. On the first day, participants engage in a hands-on workshop to assemble and program their drones, gaining in-depth knowledge of drone systems and autonomous navigation. The second day features a competitive challenge where teams deploy their self-built drones to autonomously complete a mission-navigating a set course using GPS way-points and performing specific tasks at designated points, all without manual intervention. The ADC offers a platform for students from across India to showcase their technical skills, creativity, and teamwork in the rapidly evolving field of autonomous aerial robotics. CAD Modeling is a competitive event that evaluates an engineer’s ability to interpret 2D drawings and transform them into accurate 3D models. Mech Hunt is an exciting treasure hunt-style event where teams solve clues to locate various mechanical components. The challenge tests both the participants’ mechanical knowledge and their logical thinking abilities in a fun and competitive environment.

The objective of this workshop is to provide participants with a foundational understanding of the Internet of Things (IoT) and offer practical, hands-on training in IoT technologies. The workshop aims to inspire students to channel their innovative ideas into meaningful project work. Sessions will be conducted by renowned experts who will focus on the practical applications of IoT, ensuring an engaging and immersive learning experience through a series of structured experiments.

Mechofix challenges participants to reconstruct a randomly segmented mechanical model image. The objective is to analyze and understand the original design and logically piece together the cut sections to recreate the complete model. This event is designed to test a participant's visualization and analytical skills related to mechanical components and assemblies.
